Position Responsibilities:
- Educates patients on proper oral health care
- Examines teeth and diagnoses patients' dental condition using various tools and medical technologies
- Provide treatment options and plans with patients
- Give referrals as needed with specialty treatment
- Treatment of various conditions such as gum disease, restoring teeth affected by decay, and other services as needed
- Record and follow patient’s progress, procedures, and treatment plans
- Maintain patients' dental records
- Comply with patient confidentiality through HIPAA compliance, follow safety policies and procedures through OSHA compliance and BBP (Blood-borne Pathogens)
- Provide supervision with dental assistants and personnel in areas of specific support services for patient care delivery
Required Education/Certification(s):
- Certification of graduation from accredited dental school
- Current dental license issued by the state where practicing
- Current certification in Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR- BLS)
- DEA license
- NPI number

Position Responsibilities:
- Provide treatment or preventative program as directed by a Dentist
- Educate patients on effective oral health care
- Report patients' oral health to dentists
- Sterilize and sharpen dental instruments
- Take X-rays or dental impressions
- Remove calculus and plaque (hard and soft deposits) from all surfaces of the teeth
- Apply preventive materials such as sealants and fluorides to the teeth
- Adhere to all HIPPA requirements and maintains patient privacy
Required Education/Certification(s):
- Active State Dental Hygiene Licensure
- Associate Degree in Dental Hygiene
